I am a West Sussex based artist inspired by my surroundings of the South Downs and the Sussex coastline.
Working in oils, my paintings are an abstract interpretation of the landscape.
Light, space, colour, form, memory and time are all elements that combine to create the paintings.
I feel very lucky to be surrounded by the South Downs, landscapes that have been part of me for many years. Through my choices of colour and use of brush strokes I am always striving to convey a sense of meaning within the paintings that being within these landscapes holds for me.
I love working in oils for their beautiful softness and richness of colour.
Graduating in 1998 with BA (Hons) Fine Art, I have returned to painting in the last six years after a break of almost twenty years.
