Chris Weedon

I have always been interested in art and creating things.
I started attending a sculpture night class which I did for several years which I really enjoyed. I modelled mainly in clay and either casting or firing the final piece. I then brought my own kiln and wheel and have concentrated more on ceramics, but still like to create sculptural forms. I often take inspiration from nature in creating my work. I like to experiment with different forms and styles using hand-building and throwing techniques. I now mostly create my work in stoneware as it is more durable, most of the larger pieces are unique.I am interested in new technology and computer aided design.
I have converted an old 3D printer to a 3D clay printer this has enabled me to print much larger objects. I have been experimenting creating new larger forms and combining with thrown and hand built ceramics.
I am a member of the Wey Ceramics Society and Steyning Arts. I regularly take part in the Groups exhibitions as well as selling my work in local galleries and my online Etsy shop.Website: chrisweedonart.wixsite.com/homeEtsy Shop: www.etsy.com/uk/shop/ChrisWeedonArtInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrisweedonart
