Greta is an established Textile and Mixed Media Artist & Maker. She takes much of her inspiration from the countryside of her home county of Sussex and the natural world around her. Found objects such as driftwood or pieces of rusty metal and recycled fabrics will often feature in her work.
Greta has a passion for textiles; she loves to experiment with different methods of transforming fabrics and yarn; be it knitting, dressmaking or various forms of hand and machine embroidery. She will often dye her own fabrics & threads to use in her artwork.
Greta regularly teaches hand embroidery workshops at Stitch in Storrington, sharing her passion & knowledge.
Alongside exhibiting in Gallery BN5, Greta shows & sells her work at Art Trails & other local events in both Steyning & Horsham areas. She is currently co-chair of Steyning Arts contributing to the organisation of the popular Art Trail each spring.
